Corporate Controller

The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Corporate Controller is a key leadership role within the organization. This position is responsible for leading the accounting team, overseeing financial reporting and the month-end close process, enhancing internal controls, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information across the company.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate month-end close, managing timelines and reviewing working papers, reconciliations, and reports;
- Review monthly financial statements and conduct variance analysis to support informed decision-making;
- Provide oversight and guidance across key functions including financial reporting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, and payroll, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company policies;
- Prepare internal reports that support operational and strategic decision-making at the leadership level;
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls and financial procedures to safeguard company assets and support compliance;
- Prepare and oversee regulatory, compliance, and ad-hoc reporting as required;
- Manage the year-end audit process and act as the primary liaison with the auditors;
- Support, develop, and mentor team members, fostering accountability and a high-performing team environment.
Qualifications
- CPA designation required;
- Progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting, with a strong technical foundation in month-end close, reconciliations, internal controls, and variance analysis;
- Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to develop team members, maintain accountability, and foster a collaborative, high-performing environment;
- Detail-oriented, solutions-focused, and committed to continuous improvement;
- Advanced Excel skills, including experience with Power Query, Power Pivot, and/or Visual Basic, are considered an asset.
