Career Details Job Title: Junior Drafting Technologist Number of Openings: 1 Job Type: Secondment - 6 months + Minimum Level of Education: Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma or Design & Drafting Technology Diploma Years of Related Experience: 1-3 years Office Location: Downtown Edmonton, AB Application Deadline: Until Filled Position Summary We are seeking a Junior Drafting Technologist for a hybrid secondment position located in downtown Edmonton, assisting in the creation and modification of technical drawings and plans under the supervision of senior staff members. Other responsibilities include:

• Re-drawing existing drawings in AutoCAD format.
• Ensuring accuracy and completeness in drawings, including dimensions and annotations.
• Conduct drafting checks of drawings at various stages of completion.
• Drafting electrical, instrumentation, and controls drawings under direction of engineers and designers.
• Understanding and adhering to company and/or Client CAD standards as required.
• Quality assurance checks and document control for all drawings produced.

Our Ideal Candidate

• Familiarity with AutoCAD & experience with MicroStation would be an asset.
• Acute attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership.
• Ability to trouble-shoot CAD software problems.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with engineers, architects, and other team members.
• Ability to ask questions, seek clarification, and convey information clearly and professionally.
• Capacity to listen actively and incorporate feedback into work processes.
• Collaborative mindset to work effectively within a team environment.
