Term of Appt: As required, not to exceed 35 hours per weekStart date: ImmediatelyReporting to: Campus AdministratorSalary:Classification 5 $25.02 per hour in accordance with the BCGEU Support Collective Agreement. Temporary employees are provided an additional $0.58/hour in lieu of benefits, and 6% vacation pay for all regular hours worked. The period between Christmas Day and New Year's Day is unpaid time during the College closure. Description:Invigilators supervise students writing a variety of exams on the Dawson Creek campus, which may include providing read or scribed exam delivery. Duties include marking/grading CAAT exams, following exam requirements established by the examining institution, and adhering to NLC's invigilation protocols. Invigilators also use NLC's database (Colleague) to enter scores from internal assessments. Please note: Shifts may be scheduled during the day, evening, and/or on weekends. NLC hours of operation are 5:00 am – 10:00 pm, and invigilation shifts may be scheduled within these hours. Specific availability is required for the following shift blocks, in addition to availability for other scheduled shifts:8:00 am – 12:00 pm12:00 pm – 4:00 pm3:30 pm – 7:30 pmQualifications: Required:Experience and proficiency with the current version of Microsoft Office.Ability to invigilate exams in strict accordance with established guidelines, maintaining the confidentiality and security of all exam materials and completing all required documentation.Ability to learn and use databases.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with strong record-keeping and organizational skills.Preferred:Experience invigilating exams in a post-secondary education setting, preferably in a position involving exam invigilation.A minimum of one year of post-secondary education.We thank all applicants for their interest in employment with NLC; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
