Wedding and Venue Manager

Job Responsibility:
A wedding and event venue situated on a private, 28-acre paradise located in Central Alberta in Mountain View County/Olds region is looking to hire a part-time Wedding and Event Manager to drive sales, manage events and create a plan to become a must-see venue for Brides and Event planners. This role would have flexible hours and remote work. Must be able to work weekends if required. We are looking for someone who wants flexibility and autonomy in their work life while growing the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Finding clients and potential facility users
- Initiate sales with potential clients
- Direct point of contact for potential clients, sales and bookings
- Develop and nurture positive relationships with clients, vendors and venues
- Use multiple communication methods with clients and be highly responsive
- Assist in the sales process including attending meetings, site visits and consultations to secure future wedding bookings
- Creating and managing timelines, critical paths, scope of work, venue/vendor bookings, contracts, agreements and paperwork
- Coordinate logistics for clients and vendors
- Use planning skills & experience to mitigate potential challenges or onsite hiccups
- Ensure events are punctual and run according to Cork & Crate's vision
- Ensure safety, security, and first aid policies are in place for all parties involved
- Prepare quotes and arrange receipt of deposits
- Manage google, website, social media ads, posts, content, testimonials
- Help develop and implement written systems and processes to provide measurable results
- Attend event promotion opportunities to meet prospective service providers

QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of experience in event planning or sales
- Post-Secondary Education in Marketing, Hospitality or related field an asset
- Fluent in English
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
Flexible Language Requirement:
- French not required
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Olds, AB T0M 1P3
