Purpose

Support production activities.

Responsibilities

• Ability to perform underground construction including timbering
• The installation and removal / replacement of air, water, sump and paste line services as required.
• Must be able to operate jackleg, stoper, underground mobile equipment including scissordecks, LHD equipment, and service vehicles
• Must be able to read and understand mining prints
• Clean and load longhole stopes
• Other duties as assigned by the Frontline Supervisor

Training and Education

• High School Diploma
• Underground Common Core Certificate
• Some construction specialty modules
• U0003 Set up Wooden Staging
• U0004 Drill Rock
• U0006 Blast Rock
• U0010 Muck with Load Haul Dump (LHD) Machine
• U0011 Extend Services
• U0024 Operate Utility Vehicle
• U0027 Operate Non-Mechanized Cable Bolter
• U0028 Operate Scissor Lift
• U0080 Install and Maintain Underground Pipe System
• U0082 Install and Maintain Underground Ventilation Equipment
• U0085b Construct Timber Installations
• Minimum of five (5) years mining experience, including 3 years in a construction role.
• Trained and licensed on mobile equipment
