Job Responsibility:
Description: Big White is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Retail Hardgoods Sales Associate for the winter season. As a Retail Hardgoods Sales Associate, you will have exceptional sales skills, complimented by a friendly and cheerful disposition. Prior experience in the ski/snowboard industry is not essential but experience, passion and enthusiasm for sales are. You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service through your product knowledge and your genuine interest in outfitting our guests with product that will ensure a great experience and memory of their time at Big White. Duties include: - Greeting guests as they enter the shop
- Serving our guests
- Attending sessions to acquire and develop product knowledge
- Assisting guests with selection and purchase of equipment that is appropriate for their needs and ability
- Keeping the shops and storage areas clean and tidy
- Cash-handling
- Using Retail Pro software
Required qualifications/attributes: - Professional attitude
- Good organizational skills
- Previous experience in sales
- Ability to use a variety of computer applications
- Cash handling experience
- Time management skills
- Must be approachable, dependable and a strong team player
- Must be able to deal with people of various ages with animation and with patience
Desirable (but non-essential) attributes:
- Working knowledge of the facility, services and local area
- Knowledge of ski and snowboard equipment
