Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your risk management expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative, forward-thinking, and results-driven teammates.

You'll play a critical role in ensuring the effective identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks, savings, and opportunities within our projects. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Project Managers, Core Teams, Scheduling, and Cost Control), facilitate workshops to gather inputs for risk analysis, and provide actionable insights through robust risk reporting and dashboards.

You’ll specifically take care of creating and maintaining the consolidated Risk and Opportunity Register, but also leading quantitative risk analyses to inform target pricing and schedule planning.

We’ll look to you for:

• Ensuring project members are trained in Risk Management through seminars and training courses

• Supporting project teams in identifying and assessing risks, opportunities, and mitigation actions

• Leading brainstorming sessions for risk, saving, and opportunity identification

• Collaborating with risk owners to define, implement, and monitor mitigation actions

• Developing scoring rationales for risks and opportunities, and integrating them into project schedules and budgets

• Performing integrated quantitative cost and schedule risk analyses using Risk Management software

• Delivering clear, actionable risk reporting and dashboards to senior leadership and stakeholders

• Monitoring and reporting risk KPIs and ensuring quality standards are met

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

• 5-7 years of experience in risk management

• Experience with Monte Carlo Risk Assessment tools

• Proficiency in QCRA and QSRA for multi-million-dollar railway or infrastructure projects

• Comprehensive understanding of risk management principles, methodologies, and tools

• Strong analytical skills for risk and opportunity assessments

• Project management experience

• Good knowledge of railway products and systems

• Experience working with internal processes (Tenders, Projects, Engineering, Industrial, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Quality, and their interfaces)

• Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills

• AACE Certified (DRMP)/PMI-RMP or IPMA-D, PMP certification is an asset

Compensation

The expected compensation for this role is $90,000 – $118,000 CAD per year, plus benefits and eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
