We're looking for a creative and driven Social Media & Marketing Coordinator to grow our online presence and showcase the best of Sun Peaks. This role involves creating engaging content, leveraging SEO and social media trends, analyzing performance, and developing creative campaigns that drive traffic and brand awareness. The ideal candidate should have strong writing and communication skills, experience managing social media platforms, running Facebook and Instagram ads, coordinating influencer collaborations, and executing email marketing strategies. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement to achieve business goals.
  • Confidently capture and create high-quality, engaging content on social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn) highlighting our vacation rentals, mountain activities (biking, hiking, skiing etc.), and village attractions.
  • Stay up to date with social media algorithms, the latest trends, tools, and best practices to ensure our content is current and relevant.
  • Analyze social media data to track performance and optimize strategies. Provide regular reports with insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions across social media platforms.
  • Plan, create, and manage ad campaigns on Facebook and Instagram to drive traffic and bookings.
  • Develop and execute email marketing campaigns to engage our guests and promote our properties and activities.
  • Create informative and engaging blog posts that provide valuable information for our guests.
  • Develop an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics.
  • Create visually appealing signage for the Ski Lodge lobby when needed.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager and assist with various marketing tasks as required.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a Social Media Coordinator or similar role
  • Extensive knowledge of managing and growing social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Pinterest).
  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
  • Comfortable doing voiceovers and being on camera.
  • Ability to stay updated with social media algorithms
  • Familiarity with online marketing strategies and marketing channels
  • Ability to grasp future trends in digital technologies and act proactively
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communicative abilities.
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic.
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
  • Maintain a BC driver's license
  • In-depth knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics is a plus

Education

  • Preferred bachelor's degree or certificate in English, marketing, journalism, communications, or related role.
