Registered Practical Nurse Surgical Care

Deliver clinical nursing care in Gen Day Surg-Pre & Post while applying assessment and patient education skills. Support patient and family driven care.
This Registered Practical Nurse position provides care in a supportive, culturally sensitive manner. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of care providers. Your work emphasizes assessment, education, prevention, maintenance, and restoration of patient health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinically competent patient and family driven care
- Assess patient health and support prevention and maintenance
- Educate patients and families about care needs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care providers
- Follow health and safety policies and guidelines
Requirements:
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Effective communication with patients, families, physicians, and staff
- Organized approach to prioritizing patient care demands
- Critical thinking, problem solving, and decisive judgment
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
