NAIT Electrical Engineering Lab Assistant
NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology)
Harness your skills as an Electrical Engineering Lab Assistant at NAIT, where you’ll support hands-on learning in the Electrical Engineering Technology Program. Contribute to student success through technical instruction and assistance. As an Instructional Assistant II, this role focuses on lab/shop maintenance, delivering and evaluating lab exercises, and assisting students in their projects. Your background should include a diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology and 2-5 years of industry experience. This position emphasizes safety and organization in teaching environments. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and ensure security of lab/shop equipment
- Supervise and evaluate student technical work
- Prepare and assist with lab/shop exercises
- Provide tutorial and remedial services to students
- Develop standard operating procedures for safety
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology
- 2-5 years of related industry experience
- ASET or APEGA registration is preferred
- Strong communication and initiative
- Ability to handle equipment and work varied hours
