Nanny Wanted - Experienced Nanny Needed In Springbrook, Ontario $20 Per Hour

Seeking a Nanny/Housekeeper 3 days a week for the Summer. Our family in Springbrook, Ontario is seeking a part-time Nanny to provide exceptional care for our special needs, home-schooled seven year old girl and also to help keep the house in order. The position is live-out, and we offer a wage of $20.00 per hour. Currently we are looking to hire someone for the summer for three days a week. Or try it out for three months. Primarily it is for respite for us parents. Both of us are mostly home, but Dad works away from the the house occasionally. Mom is at home but needs time to work on other things. Our daughter is mildly ASD, can be a bit hyperactive, sometimes gets dysregulated. She is diagnosed with mild cerebral palsy and she is considered very high functioning. She is very silly and loves to laugh and make up stories and is very musically inclined. She loves to cook and bake. She loves learning how to say things in other languages. She is Hyperlexic. She loves to bond with people one-on-one. She doesn't handle crowds very well. She requires assistance doing things with both hands (limited mobility on left) and help going up and down stairs. We have a very large yard and vegetable garden and live in an old farmhouse. Being outside and gardening is something of high value to us as well as nature awareness and experience. Our ideal candidate is someone who:

• can create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for our daughter.
• is experienced or willing to learn how to assist a child with mild cerebral palsy - helping with motor development.
• has experience with ASD children
• in shape and strong to be able to keep up with a high energy child
• has an interest in nature, animals and gardening
• likes to do crafts with kids
• likes singing with kids
• speaks French or Spanish
• has experience as a DSW or ECE
• has Cpic
• good about being organized and tidying up

Responsibilities include:

• engaging in activities (preparing and having snacks, playing, reading, being outside)
• assisting our child with going to the washroom, assisting with motor development.
• homeschooling activities with our child - practicing handwriting, doing crafts, etc
• housekeeping (when not looking after our child, obviously - something that would have to be determined and a rhythm figured out). Help with light cleaning, tidying, etc.

The perfect fit for our family would be someone who is patient, compassionate, and has a genuine love for children. Compassion and empathy is very important. Also a love for dogs is very important (we have a very large, friendly dog). Someone who can develop trust and bonding with our child.
