Lifestyle Assistant at V!VA Retirement

VIVA Retirement Communities

Transform lives as a Lifestyle Assistant at V!VA Retirement Communities in Barrhaven. This role involves leading activities for seniors, fostering creativity, and enhancing their quality of life. In accordance with the Lifestyle Manager, you will deliver engaging programs tailored to community members’ needs. Your responsibilities will include organizing activities, ensuring safety, supporting volunteers, and maintaining documentation for quality assurance. This position is essential for creating a positive environment where senior residents thrive. Key Responsibilities:

Provide safe, engaging group and individualized activities
Organize materials and prepare activity environments
Maintain documentation and evaluate program success
Support new team members with orientation
Assist in developing newsletters and calendars

Requirements:

Experience in senior activity facilitation
Post-secondary education in relevant fields
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adapt to needs
Satisfactory Criminal Reference Check and good driving record
