Senior Staff Engineer in High Performance Computing

Exciting role at AMD for a Senior Staff Software Development Engineer focused on high-performance computing and GPU libraries in Calgary, Canada. In this role, you will develop and test vital software libraries for AMD's ROCm™ platform, directly impacting AI and computing applications. Working closely with a geographically distributed agile team, you will ensure code excellence and innovation, enhancing GPU performance and enabling extraordinary computational experiences. Key Responsibilities:
- Test and validate ROCm libraries on the latest AMD hardware
- Work with software teams to analyze and resolve issues
- Conduct code quality assessments and improve standards
- Benchmark and optimize software for multi-GPU efficiency
- Collaborate with experts to enhance library applications
- Bachelor's or higher degree in relevant field
- Experience in debugging in both simulation and actual hardware
- Deep understanding of C, C++, and assembly programming
- Familiar with GPU architecture and programming techniques
- Automation experience for testing and data collection
