Auxiliary Building Maintenance Person

BCIT's Auxiliary Services is looking is looking for high caliber, dynamic and flexible individuals who have the skills and ability to work within the Institute in a variety of temporary assignments as a Building Maintenance Person.
The Building Maintenance Person is the first to respond to many of the work orders and trouble calls made to Campus Planning and Facilities by the BCIT community. The position carries out planned and emergency maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery in the Institute. Works with other trades groups to maintain and repair equipment, machinery, buildings and grounds. Responsible for providing quality customer service to BCIT’s internal and external clients.Auxiliaries provide support where employees are absent from the job due to sick leave, vacation, on training courses or to assist on projects or with heavy workloads at any of our campuses. Due to the varying demand for services, there may be breaks between assignments; we therefore cannot guarantee ongoing employment. This competition is on-going with opportunities for part-time or full-time hours of work.
