Intermediate Staff Accountant

Job Responsibility:

Position Title: Staff Accountant

Main function:

Providing full assistance and support in providing public accounting service in personal tax and corproation tax reporting to Principal Accountant/Partner/Accounting Manager(s) on different forms of accounting engagement.

Reports to: Principal Accountant

Supervised by: Accounting Manager(s)

Duties :

· Prepare corporate financial statements and related working papers;

· Follow-up with clients and Canada Agency as required;

· Prepare personal and corporate income tax reports;

· Prepare GST, PST, payroll and other government remittances;

· Provide accounting records to clients and work at client's premises as required;

· Perform audit work and inventory count at client's premises as required;

· Compile financial reports in accordance to different type of accounting engagement including “Taxation”, “Review Engagement” and audit review with supervision as required;

· Facilitate company marketing and promotion plan and efforts to develop new business e.g. seminars, client's visits and meetings. Any other related accounting duties assigned by supervisor/Partner from time to time, not specified above.

Working Conditions :

· Work weeks are 5 days, Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day, starting at 10am - 6pm (with half hour unpaid lunch break);

· The position will be assigned different clients' files to handle and complete;

· The position might be required to work at clients' sites from time to time to perform accounting and audit work.

Employment Requirements:

· Completion of college/vocational or technical training

· CPA, CPA student

· At least 2 years experience in public accounting service

· Proficient spoken and written English, Cantonese/Mandarin is an asset

. Renumeration is commensurate with experience and technical skills.

· Initiative to learn and take up new assignments as an ongoing skill enhancement process

· Report promptly to Manager or supervisor on work-in-progress and any related issues

· Be resourceful and updated of CRA T1 and T2 reporting rules by reading CRA website or accounting reference books.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $45,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
