Job Responsibility:
Jensen's Powertrain is a family owned and operated transmission specialists shop and complete vehicle repairs for the Automotive & Heavy Equipment Industries. We are an Allison Overhaul Dealer, AC Delco Dealer, and CAA Approved Service Centre. We have 3 locations which 2 are located in Fredericton, NB and our Heavy Equipment shop is located in Mactaquac, NB. Jensen's Powertrain has been in operation since 1974 and provides fully equipped trucks that service our customers in the Maritimes, Quebec and Maine.
Our company is looking for a Full time on site for apprentice for our shop located at 827 Prospect Street Fredericton, NB and or Mactaquac location. Applications must have a professional mechanical background and willingness to learn the Transmission Trade. The role will involve day to day tasks related to learning and assisting with the repairs and maintenance of powertrain system. The Apprentice will work under the guidance of experienced technicians to learn and develop skills in powertrain diagnostics and repair. The successful individual will need to posses:
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
-Basic knowledge of automotive and or truck systems
-Hands on experience with tolls and equipment
-Personal tools
-Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
-Valid driver's Licence
-Strong attention to detail and problem -solving skills
- Interest in pursuing a career in automotive and or truck technology
This is a full time position work weeks are 5 days a week 40.0 hours maybe overtime if needed. No weekends.
Competitive pay (based on qualifications) with Group Benefits Packages, yearly safety boot allowance, meals when working overtime, allowance for repair or tools.
