Job Responsibility:
Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Management Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all accounting and financial tasks within the business. They will report directly to our Group Finance Director and be absolutely key in delivering the next part of our strategy. They will be a senior leadership voice across the business, supporting the existing leadership team in building culture, attitude and approach, and will pull apart our existing finance processes and build us a new infrastructure fit for our next phase of growth. This person would be working with and reporting to the Group Finance Director and Senior Management Team.
Duties
- Produce month end accounts in line with Group reporting requirements and timetables
- Reconcile all balance sheet accounts monthly
- Analysis of relevant P&L accounts
- Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and on time
- Ownership of statutory accounts production and filing
- Preparation of all year end information
- Provide audit information in line with timetables
- Ensuring compliance and timely/accurate production of regulatory returns
- Review processes for completeness and ensure appropriate controls in place
- Prepare budget forecasts
- Ensuring that financial queries are prioritized and responded to within a reasonable timescale.
- Compute taxes and prepare tax returns as required
- Report on the company's financial health and liquidity
- Comply with financial policies and regulations
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
- Proven experience in a similar role within the financial services sector is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of corporate finance principles and practices.
- Familiarity with financial auditing processes and best practices.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Ability to plan and manage multiple priorities under high pressure situations with tight deadlines.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Bachelor or graduate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) would be an advantage
