You are an essential part of the Bakery team, working with our experienced Bakery staff to provide the highest quality products. The sweet aromas of our own fresh-baked Artisan breads, pastries, cookies, and muffins make our Bakery a must-stop place for customers. It’s a fun baking opportunity and a creative one, too. You’ll find yourself able to give truly personal service here.

Here’s where you’ll be focusing:

• Following company procedures, standards and policies in all situations
• Greeting customers in a polite and friendly manner
• Providing superior customer service in line with Safeway’s programs
• Using bakery equipment, including mixers, commercial ovens and donut fryers
• Cleaning and sanitizing bakery equipment
• Writing and preparing orders
• Supporting the daily production of baked goods
• Receiving and rotating baked products
• Filling and maintaining bakery showcases

Physical Requirements (Seldom: Not Daily, Rare: 0-5% of shift, Occasional: 6-33% of shift, Frequent: 34-66% of shift, Constant: 66-100% of shift)

• Frequent lifting of up to 20 pounds
• Frequent hand coordination, bending pushing, pulling and twisting
• Occasional lifting of between 20-50 lbs including waist level and low level lifts
• Constant standing, walking, gripping, reaching

The salary range for this position is $18.25 - $21.00. We will consider factors such as your working location, work experience and skills as well as internal equity, and market conditions to ensure that you are paid fairly and competitively.
