Assistant Project Manager

The Assistant Project Manager role is designed to support current construction project teams in the short term while developing into a future project leader .

You will work closely with Project Managers and Site Superintendents to:

• Keep projects organized and on schedule
• Improve communication and execution flow
• Gradually take on increasing ownership of project scopes, budgets, and coordination

• Competitive Salary: $60,000 – $85,000 (based on experience and growth potential)

• Location: Kingston & Belleville Region
• Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (standard construction management hours)
• Work Model: Primarily onsite

What You’ll Do

Project Coordination

• Support Project Managers with day-to-day coordination of ICI construction projects
• Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and documentation
• Maintain project schedules, logs, and document control systems (Procore or equivalent)
• Coordinate communication between clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams
• Assist with procurement, tendering, and subcontract administration
• Support cost tracking, invoice review, and budget updates
• Attend site meetings and track action items to completion
• Assist with project closeout and turnover documentation

Assistant Project Management

• Take ownership of smaller scopes or phases of projects
• Assist in schedule tracking and milestone management
• Support trade coordination and issue resolution on active sites
• Participate in cost monitoring, change management, and forecasting
• Begin leading coordination meetings and progress updates
• Act as a secondary point of contact for stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

• 1–5 years of experience in construction project coordination, project administration, or junior project management (ICI preferred)
• Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology, Architecture, or a related field
• Strong organizational and time management skills in a multi-project environment
• Clear communicator with ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders
• Experience handling RFI's and change orders
• Exposure to budgeting, scheduling, or subcontract coordination is a strong asset
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project considered assets
• Valid driver’s license
