Your role

• Perform structural analysis seismic qualification and assessment structural design and ageing management.
• Prepare engineering design calculations for structural systems involving steel reinforced concrete and masonry and prepare design documents and compile engineering packages.
• Analyze structural systems and elements as required using Analysis Software programs using ANSYS SAP2000 STAAD Pro SSASI and other structural programs.
• Ensure Compliance with applicable Codes Standards and Regulations and ensuring the adequacy of design for permits and compliance with approved plans.
• Accountable for the delivery of all engineering deliverables/task to achieve project objectives within specified timelines and budgets.
• Provide technical instructions to designers to develop engineering documentation.
• Review and comment on the work performed by others to ensure accuracy completeness and quality of technical information and design documentation.
• Participate in formal engineering design and other reviews as may be mandated for the design changes in question.
• Perform plant walkdowns as and if required in support of design requirements definition and detailed engineering of design modifications.

About you

• Civil Engineering degree from an accredited University with minimum 2 years of structural analysis and design experience in steel and concrete structures in Nuclear Power Plants and/or industrial buildings. Masters degree and above is an asset.
• Must be Licensed in a professional engineering organization recognized in Canada. Preferably registered as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario.
• 1 to 3 years of site or field experience in Nuclear Power Plants and/or industrial buildings is an asset.
• Must have experience with static dynamic and seismic analysis of structures and foundations.
• Knowledge of modification process of Nuclear Power Plant; ECC process or similar is an asset.
• Adequate knowledge of established Nuclear QA guidelines procedures knowledge of applicable nuclear safety codes and regulations is an asset.
