Logistic Coordinator

Edge Transportation  specializes in flat deck, heavy haul, over-dimensional and drayage freight services throughout North America.

Our drayage operations are an important part of the intermodal shipping process, coordinating the movement of containers between rail terminals, warehouses, ports, yards and customer locations.

Edge Transportation is growing in Saskatoon, SK and looking for an organized, detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team. This is a computer-focused position that requires strong administrative, communication and organizational skills. You will work closely with our Operations team to coordinate freight, maintain accurate information in our transportation systems, communicate with customers and drivers, and ensure shipments move efficiently from pickup through delivery.

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will support the day-to-day movement of freight and provide administrative and operational support to the transportation team.

Responsibilities include:

• Entering and maintaining shipment, load and customer information in TMW
• Completing a high volume of computer and data-entry work accurately and efficiently
• Monitoring loads and updating shipment information throughout the transportation process
• Coordinating pickup and delivery information with drivers, customers and internal operations
• Responding to customer, supplier and operational emails in a timely and professional manner
• Preparing and reviewing shipping documentation and load information
• Tracking freight and providing customers with shipment updates
• Ensuring accurate documentation is received and entered into the system
• Identifying missing or incorrect information and following up as required
• Assisting with appointment scheduling and delivery requirements
• Communicating changes, delays or potential service issues to the appropriate team members
• Maintaining organized electronic records and documentation
• Supporting the Operations and Dispatch teams with daily administrative requirements
• Managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced transportation environment

What You Bring:

• Minimum 1 years of experience in transportation, logistics or a similar coordination role
• Experience with TMW would be considered an asset
• Strong computer skills and the ability to learn and work within multiple software systems
• Excellent data-entry skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail
• Knowledge of Canadian transportation and shipping practices
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable managing a high volume of emails, documentation and system updates
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to multitask and effectively manage changing priorities
• Self-motivated, adaptable and results-driven
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify potential issues before they impact service
• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers, drivers and team members
