Job Overview :
Join a leading manufacturer of aluminum extrusions as an Industrial Millwright in Pickering, ON. We are seeking highly skilled and experienced millwrights with a strong background in heavy industrial environments.
If you have a proven track record in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex machinery, and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities :
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy industrial equipment, including hydraulics, bearings, chains, and conveyors.
- Perform arc welding as needed for equipment repairs.
- Maintain and repair natural gas furnaces (ovens).
- Handle v-belts, couplings, and alignments to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times.
- Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to meet production demands.
Qualifications :
- Certified 433A Millwright/Industrial Mechanic.
- 5-8 years of experience in a heavy industrial environment.
- Strong expertise in troubleshooting and repairing hydraulics, conveyors, and other mechanical systems.
- Proficient in arc welding and maintenance of natural gas furnaces.
- Excellent knowledge of v-belts, couplings, and equipment alignments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work 12-hour continental rotating shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
