Referral Coordinator In An Established Periodontal Practice

Job Responsibility:

Referral Coordinator

Summary/objective The primary purpose of the referral coordinator is to connect with new patients referred to the practice, ensure all patient intake forms are completed, and schedule new patients for their exam. The objective of this position is to create positive connections and help the patient understand what we do and why they have been referred.

Essential functions

• Answer and return all new patient incoming calls in a professional and pleasant manner.
• Appropriately manage multiple incoming calls.
• Enter all referred patients into the electronic patient record software.
• Be knowledgeable and able to educate general practices on our referral program.
• Send new patient welcome emails and required paperwork.
• Connect with all referred patients within 2 days of receiving referral from general dentist.
• Answer and appropriately schedule self referred phone calls.
• Collect patient's insurance information prior to their scheduled appointment.
• Ensure Health History forms are completed and submitted.
• Ensure necessary radiographs are present.
• Schedule new patient exams, reschedule when needed.
• Check patients in and out when needed.
• Assist with all reception duties when necessary.
• Work with the team to ensure an excellent patient experience.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
