Overview:
Pembina Pipeline Corporation's Calgary office is recruiting for an Assistant, Payments to join the team. This position reports to the Supervisor, Payments in the Supply Chain Service Unit, part of Pembina's Corporate Services Division.
Guided by Pembina's values, Supply Chain collaborates across the Organization ensuring that all supply chain activities are executed with the highest standards of ethics and integrity and are in strict adherence to Pembina's policies. Supply Chain delivers strategic value to the organization by optimizing technology for material acquisition, inventory carrying, transportation, and planning costs.
The Assistant, Payments is responsible for assisting with all functions of the payments processing group, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and cost effectiveness in all forms of payments. The successful individual will have a strong background in customer service, exceptional communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change while demonstrating Pembina's values. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a teamwork attitude, who has strong organizational skills and the ability to pay close attention to detail.
Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

- Ensure accuracy and timeliness in all outgoing payments;
- Adhere to compliance with SOX documentation in processes and controls;
- Manage cost effective payment practices;
- Work collaboratively with Pembina's business and service units on strategic priorities;
- Develop and maintain standard bank protocols for payment timelines;
- Provide coverage for corporate card program;
- Provide information on payment forecasts to Treasury team;
- Develop skills through internal and external training;
- Identify improvement opportunities through monitoring Payments; KPI's and KRI's, and recommend and carry out solutions;
- Align with and demonstrate Pembina's key behavioral responsibilities; and
- Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma with Post Secondary Education preferable;
- 1-3 years' experience in Accounts Payable or Treasury field with prior experience in SAP;
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word;
- Knowledge of Concur, Open Text Vendor Invoice Management, Ariba, Analysis for Office is an asset;
- Must be customer focused and have a thorough knowledge of the inter-relationships within the business;
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
- Effective communication and organization skills complemented by a strong work ethic;
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize responsibilities; and
- Detail oriented, able to multi-task and meet deadlines.
The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. Final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
