Forklift Operator – Manufacturing Environment Guelph, ON

Location: Guelph, ON
Pay Rate: $21.00/hour (+ $1.00/hour shift premium for Afternoons & Nights)

Randstad is seeking reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operators to join our client's production team in Guelph. In this role, you will primarily operate an electric Counterbalance forklift, with occasional use of a Reach truck, to move materials, load trailers, and keep our manufacturing process running smoothly.

- Move raw materials and finished goods to designated storage or production areas.

- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections to ensure forklift safety and functionality.
- Use RF scanners or manual logs to track inventory movements accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace to uphold high facility safety standards.
- Collaborate closely with the production team to meet daily output targets.

Responsibilities

- Paid Training: 2–3 weeks of initial training on Days before transitioning to off-shifts.
- Shift Rotation: Starts on Afternoons/Nights, transitioning into a monthly rotation between: Days: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Afternoons: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (+$1.00/hr premium), Nights: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM (+$1.00/hr premium)

Qualifications
- Prior experience operating an Electric Counterbalance forklift (Reach truck experience is a strong asset).
- Valid external Forklift Operator License preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs comfortably.
- Strong focus on workplace safety and attention to detail.
- Comfort working a monthly rotating shift schedule.
