Tasks

Calculate insurance claims
Review and examine insurance claims
Examine adjusters' reports, insurance claims and precedents to determine extent of insurance coverage
Ensure settlements are made according to company practices and procedures
Consult lawyers, doctors or other individuals to discuss insurance claims
Approve insurance claims
Consult with claimants, accident witnesses, doctors and others
Determine amount of loss or damages covered by insurance policies
Determine validity of claims
Examine records and reports to determine insurance coverage
Investigate circumstances surrounding insurance claims
Negotiate settlement of claims
Prepare adjustment reports
