Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Wood-Fired Pizza Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of working with a wood-fired oven, ensuring pizzas are cooked to perfection with a crispy crust and delicious toppings. This role requires precision, speed, and creativity in preparing a variety of pizzas while maintaining high standards of food quality and consistency.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook wood-fired pizzas according to restaurant recipes and standards.
- Monitor oven temperatures and adjust as necessary to achieve optimal cooking conditions.
- Ensure pizzas are cooked evenly and timely, paying attention to presentation and quality.
- Prepare ingredients, including dough, sauces, and toppings, ensuring freshness and quality.
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Assist in stocking and organizing kitchen and station areas.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Wood-Fired Pizza Cook or similar role in a high-volume kitchen.
- Strong knowledge of wood-fired oven operation and maintenance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent understanding of various pizza doughs, sauces, and toppings.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
