Inclusive Recreation Program Leader Role
Between Friends.
Lead inclusive recreation efforts as a Program Leader with Between Friends! This exciting part-time role empowers individuals with disabilities through engaging social and developmental programming. As a Program Leader, you will oversee the W.E.S.O.A.R! initiatives, ensuring the safe delivery of activities for 8-10 participants in the community. Key duties include program planning, implementing engaging activities, and maintaining open communication with caregivers. Your leadership will drive exceptional experiences for program participants, supported by volunteers. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct engaging and inclusive recreational activities
- Develop program materials and manage budgeting tasks
- Ensure safety through medication administration and documentation
- Provide support and direction to volunteers during sessions
- Address concerns and relay participant feedback to the Program Coordinator
- Minimum age of 18 years and pass a criminal records screening
- First Aid and CPR Level C certification required
- Experience with disability support and programming is beneficial
- Strong interpersonal skills and crisis management experience
- Weekly commitment for training and sessions on weekends
