Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)  Overnight Shifts
Location: Battlefords Treatment Centre
Schedule: Overnight shifts (including weekends as required)
Position Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for the safe administration and management of client medications in accordance with physician orders and Battlefords Treatment Centre policies. This role supports safe, ethical, and accurate medication practices during overnight operations.
Key Responsibilities

Administer, dispense, and document medications according to prescriptions and safety protocols.
Store, secure, and monitor medication inventory, including ordering, receiving, and shift reconciliation.
Communicate with the preferred pharmacy regarding prescriptions, refills, and medication concerns.
Maintain accurate client medication records and files.
Safely dispose of unused or restricted medications.
Prepare medications for clients transitioning out of treatment.
Follow infection control practices and organizational policies.
Communicate medication changes with Addiction Counsellors and relevant staff.
Participate in staff meetings, training, and accreditation activities as required.
Report any inappropriate or unethical behaviour immediately.
Support Canadian Accreditation Council standards and processes.

Qualifications & Requirements

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in good standing.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to medication safety.
Ability to work overnight shifts independently.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Knowledge of infection control and safe medication handling.
