Teaching Assistant for Climate Action Course

Become a part of McGill University and support students in understanding climate issues as a Teaching Assistant for FSCI 198: Climate Crisis and Climate Actions. Lead engaging workshops and contribute to climate science literacy. McGill University is seeking Teaching Assistants for FSCI 198, a course designed to educate students on climate science and action. Ideal candidates will possess strong communication skills and an interest in Indigenous pedagogy. You will lead workshops, facilitate discussions, and provide feedback on student assignments, playing a vital role in fostering collaboration and reflection around climate challenges. Key Responsibilities:

Lead weekly workshops with engaging discussions
Attend Thursday lectures with co-instructors and TAs
Grade assignments and provide timely feedback
Conduct office hours for student assistance
Participate in weekly teaching team meetings

Requirements:

Completed undergraduate degree in sciences or related field
Strong interest in climate education and Indigenous pedagogy
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Experience with grading and feedback on writing
Availability for in-person training and meetings
