• possession of a valid B.C. Teaching Certificate;
• university training, or its equivalent, relevant to the posted position; and,
• successful teaching experience relevant to the posted position.

The successful candidate must:

• possess relevant university training, or its equivalent in the subject areas;
• have TESOL certificate;
• possess relevant, successful experience teaching Humanities at the middle and secondary level (Grades 8 to 10) and as an ELL teacher;
• be familiar with the BC Student Performance Standards; and,
• have a solid understanding and knowledge of the new Ministry curriculum and competencies.

Assignment involves teaching Humanities Grades 8 to 10.

Salary range: $60,015 per year to $109,520 per year, based on category as assigned by the Teachers Qualification Service (TQS) and previous teaching experience.
