Server Assistant

Created in partnership with hospitality icon Nick Di Donato of the Liberty Entertainment Group, Don Alfonso 1890 Toronto is the only North American location of world renowned Michelin Star Chefs Alfonso and Ernesto Iaccarino’s Don Alfonso 1890. Sitting atop the iconic Westin Harbour Castle, on the edge of Lake Ontario, the spacious new location on the 38th floor, offers stunning views of the city skyline and Toronto’s harbor. Don Alfonso is currently seeking skilled Server Assistant to join our incredible team.

Job Description

Ensuring organization and cleanliness at all times. Possess a working knowledge of the venue (location, direction, events, policies etc.). Know all table numbers and maintain awareness of which servers are in each section. Communicate with Managers and FOH staff during events to maintain proper guest flow throughout the venue. Assist management and FOH staff in all necessary preparations and table set up for events. Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of fine dining experience as a Server/Food Runner is a must. Wine knowledge is an asset. Previous experience in a customer service position. Strong oral communication skills. High attention to detail Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment. Organizational skills and ability to multi-task. Ability to maintain a level of professional urgency and momentum. Must be legally able to work in Canada.
