Live-In Caregiver & Companion for 92-Year-Old Senior - South Burnaby

Live-In Caregiver Required – South Burnaby, BC We are seeking a compassionate, reliable live-in caregiver for our 92-year-old father in South Burnaby, BC. Our father is a funny, kind, respectful, and intelligent senior who is looking for assistance with daily living and companionship. He remains cognitively sharp and enjoys some conversation otherwise quiet, but due to age-related mobility challenges, he requires support with personal care and daily routines. This is intended to be a long-term position for someone who genuinely enjoys working with seniors and values building a meaningful relationship with the person they support. Responsibilities Include: Assisting with getting in and out of bed and chairs safely Catheter care and monitoring (a requirement) Medication and vitamin reminders Preparing and serving three meals daily Light housekeeping and laundry Grocery shopping and errands as needed Providing companionship and social interaction Monitoring overall well-being and communicating any concerns to family Other light household duties as required Ideal Candidate: Kind, patient, dependable, and compassionate Experience caring for seniors, preferably minimum 3+ years Experience with catheter care and mobility assistance preferred First Aid/CPR certification an asset Strong English communication skills Comfortable working independently and taking initiative Able to provide work and personal references Willing to undergo a criminal record check Accommodations: The position includes: Private furnished bedroom Private bathroom Access to a separate refrigerator and shared household amenities Comfortable living environment in a family home located in South Burnaby Additional Information: Weekly care begins at 10am on Wednesdays through 10am on Mondays and most requirements are 6am-6pm when he's not in bed. Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and the scope of care provided.
