McLean & Dickey Ltd. is looking for a RIBO-licensed professional to join our Personal Lines Team. You need to be detail-oriented with critical thinking skills that will enable you to provide our clients with the best possible insurance solutions for their needs.

The Job: Reporting to the Personal Lines Manager, you will manage and grow an existing book of business and provide timely and expert advice to our clients, including but not limited to:

Servicing customers by reviewing and processing renewals, endorsements, new business, cancellations, responding to customer's inquiries, cross selling of monoline policies, shopping renewals as necessary, maintenance of agency bill accounts, following up on payment notices, reporting and following up of claims, assisting fellow CSRs as needed, assisting Producers on accounts, occasional backup of reception.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide timely and professional customer service on existing client accounts.
• Review and process renewals and endorsements, re-marketing as required, based on client needs.
• Identify potential gaps in coverage and provide clients with insurance choices.
• Make recommendations for coverage enhancements and identify and develop cross-selling opportunities.
• Coordinate payment/financing arrangements.
• Build strong relationships with insurance providers and clients.
• Remain up to date on product knowledge and continue self-development through industry training.
• Assist other CSRs and Producers as needed.
• Occasional back-up of reception as needed.

What you'll need:

• RIBO licensed.
• Experience in personal lines home & auto insurance is an asset.
• A positive attitude and a willingness to share knowledge and insight with the team.
• Strong communication skills - both written and oral.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to exercise sound judgement in the application of appropriate underwriting rules.
• A strong attention to detail, ability to take initiative and meet deadlines.
• Strong Organization/time management and multi tasking skills.
• Problem solving and conflict management.
• Policy Interpretation.
• Computer proficiency in MS Office.
• A results-oriented professionalism with a strong work ethic.
• Experience with broker management systems - bonus points if you know Applied Epic.
