IT Desktop Support - Intermediate:On behalf of our Consulting client, Procom is searching for an IT Desktop Support - Intermediate for a 5 month contract role. This position is onsite 5 days at our client’s Toronto office.IT Desktop Support - Intermediate - Job Description:Seeking an enthusiastic individual to join their team of Technology Support Professionals. The role involves partnering with internal customers to provide technology support and consultation services related to hardware, application usage, and process automation.IT Desktop Support - Intermediate - Responsibilities:• Use judgment and problem-solving skills to resolve technology issues effectively.• Manage multiple support calls, customer requests, and projects while maintaining quality service.• Display integrity concerning privacy and security.• Grasp new technologies quickly and share knowledge openly.• Contribute to customer education programs.• Demonstrate strong verbal and listening skills to liaise with stakeholders.• Identify and deliver process improvements for a positive customer experience.• Collaborate and work remotely with team members.• Take ownership of issues and additional tasks.• Work with diverse personalities and cultures.• Assist customers with data analytics and automation tools.• Identify and manage production issues and incidents.• Oversee infrastructure services and ensure security through vulnerability remediation.• Decommission infrastructure and application assets as needed.• Provide oversight of vendors and suppliers.IT Desktop Support - Intermediate - Mandatory Skills:• Two years or more of formal education in Computer Science (or equivalent).• 5+ years of technical experience supporting hardware and applications in a large environment.• Strong analytical, problem-solving, time-management, and interpersonal skills.• Commitment to excellent customer service.• Experience with incident, request, and asset management procedures.• Ability to obtain Government of Canada Reliability clearance.IT Desktop Support - Intermediate – Nice-to-Have Skills:• Experience using data analytic and automation applications.• Knowledge of audio-video and video conference equipment.IT Desktop Support - Intermediate – Assignment Length:Two contracts available — one from November 2, 2026, to March 31, 2027.IT Desktop Support - Intermediate - Start Date:ASAP.IT Desktop Support - Intermediate - Assignment Location:Toronto, Ontario, Canada, onsite 5 days a week.This posting is for an existing vacancy.This employer uses both human and technology-assisted tools to support candidate screening and assessment.
