Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Specialist to lead and contribute to comprehensive testing activities across the full product delivery lifecycle. This role focuses on ensuring high-quality software delivery through test strategy development, test execution, defect management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to the development of test strategies, test cases, test scripts, and regression testing scenarios
  


• Plan, manage, and schedule all testing activities, including AODA compliance and performance (stress/load) testing
  


• Execute test cases and oversee testing efforts to validate system and solution quality
  


• Track, manage, and report defects; lead defect triage sessions and ensure timely resolution
  


• Develop and maintain test plans, test artifacts, and test summary reports
  


• Review functional and design specifications to identify testing requirements and coverage
  


• Support and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions, guiding business stakeholders
  


• Prepare realistic test datasets and perform data validation
  


• Execute manual and automated testing and evaluate results
  


• Collaborate with QA teams, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure quality outcomes
  


• Perform database queries (e.g., SQL) to extract and validate data
  


• Review user documentation and provide improvement recommendations
  

Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements

• 8+ years of QA experience, including leading QA teams
  


• Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools and managing defect lifecycle
  


• Experience with automated testing tools and version control systems (e.g., Microsoft DevOps)
  


• Strong knowledge of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  


• Experience coordinating testing efforts with cross-functional teams
  


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  

Technical Skills

• Experience with SharePoint, Web Services, HTML, JavaScript, VBScript
  


• Exposure to COTS, SaaS, and Cloud-based applications
  


• Experience executing functional, non-functional, integration, and data testing
  


• Strong knowledge of regression testing and enterprise-level systems
  


• Ability to perform SQL queries for data validation
  

Preferred Experience

• Experience with structured testing methodologies and quality assurance practices
  


• Proven ability to create test strategies, plans, and test data
  


• Experience supporting and leading UAT sessions
  


• Experience adapting testing strategies based on results and progress

• Team-oriented with proven ability to meet deadlines
  

Public Sector Experience (Asset)

• Prior experience working in Government or Public Sector environments

• Document all technical designs, testing artifacts, and processes
  


• Share knowledge with project teams and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  


• Contribute to documentation repositories and team knowledge bases
