We are a family of three with children aged 7, 6, and 4, and we would like to have a date night twice a month. Our kids are great, they are potty-trained and go to bed easily. We would typically leave the house around 6:30 or 7:00. You would just need to say good night to the two older children around 8:00 and reassure our youngest (4 years old) that you are here in case they need anything. Beyond that, it is mainly ensuring that someone is home if the children have questions or in case of an emergency.
