On-Call Hot Shot Driver

Brad Paddison Contracting Ltd. is a growing mining contractor based in 100 Mile House, BC. We specialize in construction projects for the mining industry, with a particular focus on mill installation and related construction work. We also provide maintenance services and support for operating mine sites.
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and dependable Hot Shot Driver to join our team on an on-call basis. The successful candidate will use a company-provided vehicle to transport materials to and from our vendors, shop, and jobsites, as required.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company truck and trailer for local and regional deliveries
- Load, secure, and transport materials and equipment
- Complete required pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle and trailer are in safe operating condition
- Complete delivery paperwork and maintain accurate records
- Follow all applicable transportation and safety regulations
- Represent the company professionally when dealing with customers, suppliers, and jobsites
Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 BC driver’s licence with a heavy trailer endorsement (or a Class 3 licence)
- Clean driver’s abstract
- Previous hot shot, commercial driving, or equipment/material hauling experience
- Available on an on-call basis, often with limited notice
Assets
- Class 1 driver’s licence
- Experience working around construction or mining sites
Wage: $35-40+/hour, depending on qualifications, skills, and experience.
