As a General Utility Worker on our team at Subway (Thompson Rivers University) you’ll take on the important task of customer service, building sandwiches wraps and salads for our guests. Job Responsibilities

• Maintain courteous and professional conduct at all times with guests, staff, and management
• Have a complete knowledge and understanding of ARAMARK and Subway policies and procedures
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests and responding to inquiries in a friendly and professional manner
• Accurately take guest orders and process transactions
• Prepare sandwiches, wraps, salads, and other menu items according to established recipes and guest specifications
• Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation standards are met
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all workstations, customer areas, equipment, and storage areas
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene requirements regarding food handling
• Assist with stocking, inventory rotation, and replenishment of products and supplies
• Support fellow team members to ensure efficient daily operations
• Complete opening, closing, and daily cleaning duties as assigned
• Promote a welcoming and positive environment for all guests

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, multi-tasking, and interpersonal skills
• Must be flexible and able to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced food service environment
• Ability to prepare sandwiches, salads, and other menu items according to Subway standards
• Basic cash handling and point-of-sale experience preferred
• Food Safe certification preferred
• Friendly attitude and commitment to excellent customer service
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to uniform standards

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
