Brewer and Production Operator

Overview

This is a permanent full-time position for an individual to participate in all steps of beer production, from brewing through cellaring and packaging.

Job Duties

• Brewing beer;
• Operating canning line and other packaging equipment;
• CIP of tanks, pipes, pumps, etc.;
• Assist with packaging operations as required;
• Various cleaning duties around the plant.

in time duties will include:

• Filtration and transfer operation;
• Yeast handling;
• Fermentation management.

Qualifications

The applicant must have:

• Ability and willingness to learn new skills;
• Good mechanical skills;
• The ability to take on a physically demanding job;
• Lift and move 25kg regularly;
• The ability to maintain a high degree of attention to detail;
• Willingness to work varying hours depending upon production schedules;
• A positive attitude in a demanding repetitive production environment.

In addition, the following are considered strong assets:

• Post-secondary education with a technical degree or diploma;
• Education and experience in skilled trades;
• Experience in a production brewery environment;
• Experience in a food and beverage production environment;
• Love of craft beer.
