Afternoon School Custodial Cleaner 4pm to 12am
The School Custodial Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy learning environment for students, staff, and visitors. This role includes daily cleaning, sanitizing, and minor maintenance tasks throughout school facilities, ensuring all areas meet cleanliness and safety standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Adheres to established procedures to provide a safe working environment including aligning with OSHA, state/local, federal, and Aramark regulations
- Maintains a clean and orderly environment to project the safety and health of others
Clean and sanitize classrooms, hallways, offices, washrooms, cafeterias, gyms, and common areas.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish floors and surfaces
Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste properly.Replenish restroom and cleaning supplies as needed.
Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces.
Set up and take down tables, chairs, and equipment for school events and activities.
Perform routine inspections of facilities and report maintenance or safety concerns.
Follow health, safety, and infection-control procedures.
Operate cleaning equipment safely, including floor scrubbers, buffers, and vacuum cleaners.
Secure school facilities by locking doors and windows as directed.
- Accurately maintains and cleans housekeeping equipment
- Cleans assigned areas to Aramark and client standards and requirements
- Follows procedures for storage and disposal of trash and transports it to designated areas
- Reports maintenance concerns via work order requests to appropriate personnel
- Secures the facility, ensuring building is locked/unlocked as required

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous custodial, janitorial, or cleaning experience is an asset.
Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and safety practices.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and walking for extended periods
Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

The pay range for this position is $18.75 - $18.75.
