Expected Start Date: October 19, 2026 Union: SUN Facility: Regina General Hospital City/Town: Regina Department: Pediatric Outpatient Specialty Clinic Type: Full-time regular FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days Number of Hours per Rotation: 28 shifts of 8 hours per 6 weeks Relief: No Float: No Hours of Work: Standard Hours Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse B $42.040 to $52.440 Travel Required: No Job : The Diabetes Nurse Educator integrates knowledge, skills and the principles of teaching and learning, in the provision of diabetes education and quality care for clients, families, the general public and health professionals. Teaching can occur in inpatient, outpatient or community settings, with individuals or groups. The incumbent is responsible for assessing learning needs and planning, implementing, and evaluating educational activities for clients/families/health professionals. The Diabetes Nurse Educator will use a consultative approach, accepted standards and guidelines and current research findings to provide support to clients and health care professionals as appropriate. The position may have specific responsibilities requiring specialized clinical knowledge to meet the client's needs such as diabetes in pregnancy or children with diabetes. Human Resources Exemption: No Experience- Three (3) years related clinical experience in the specialty area
- Experience in teaching adults, facilitation skills, and leading group activities
- One (1) year experience in adult education or a teaching role
- Experience in program/resource development

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
