Responsibilities:

Customer service and order management (60-70%)

• Contact customers and respond to incoming calls to process orders while providing high-quality service.

• Maintain rigorous call follow-up using the call tracking calendar.

• Verify inventory availability during order entry and communicate requirements to the purchasing department as needed.

• Process orders received by email or fax and complete the required follow-ups.

• Receive, investigate, and follow up on customer complaints with diligence and professionalism.

• Prepare special product requests and other customer-specific requirements and monitor their fulfillment.

• Contribute to account profitability by promoting complementary products, increasing volumes, and adjusting pricing when appropriate.

Customer planning and information analysis (10-15%)

• Plan daily customer outreach activities and manage the call follow-up calendar.

• Gather and analyze information related to stock shortages, credit notes, substitutions, new products, pricing, and market trends to ensure proactive customer follow-up.

• Monitor delivery delays, product returns, and customer credit conditions to provide personalized service.

Pricing and profitability management (5-10%)

• Maintain customized price lists, fixed pricing structures, and customer quotations.

• Prepare pricing lists required for customer quotations.

• Implement necessary price adjustments during significant market fluctuations while maintaining profitability objectives.

Customer development and retention (0-15%)

• Analyze sales reports to identify changes in customer purchasing activity.

• Conduct courtesy and customer retention visits as required.

• Participate in new business development through prospecting and referrals.

• Document customer complaints and relevant information in the system to support future customer follow-up.

• Contribute to customer retention efforts and report any observed decline in customer loyalty.

What you will need to succeed:

Required qualifications

• College diploma (DEC) in Marketing or General Administration.

• 3-4 years of experience in food distribution, related distribution, customer service, or an environment related to culinary operations.

• Strong customer service skills.

• Bilingualism in French and English to support customer communications and sales activities.
