Caregiver needed for senior gentleman (2 positions available)

We are looking for two compassionate, dependable, and reliable caregivers to support our Dad in his home. Our Dad is over 6 feet tall, is hard of hearing, and is unsteady on his feet. Applicants must be physically able to safely assist a tall adult with mobility and transfers, and should have previous experience providing hands-on support to seniors in a home or caregiving setting. We are seeking individuals who are patient, attentive, respectful, and committed to maintaining his dignity, comfort, and overall wellbeing.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Mobility assistance and safe transfers.
• Personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
• Meal preparation and support with simple daily nutrition needs.
• Light housekeeping and helping to keep the home tidy and organized.
• Companionship and providing friendly, supportive social interaction.
• Monitoring safety, comfort, and overall wellbeing throughout the day.
• Experience with urinary catheter care is an asset.

SPLIT SHIFTS:

• 9:00 am -- 1:00 pm, 7 days/week
• 8:00 pm -- 10:00 pm, 7 days/week

Two position are available, with flexibility to discuss specific days and availability.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous care-giving experience, preferably with seniors.
• Experience providing safe mobility, assistance, and transfers.
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable.
• Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle (our home is in a rural area, and is not accessible by public transit).
• Professional references required.
