Operator A1, A, B, labourer

Duties & Responsibilities:

Water Distribution System Repair and Maintenance:  repair water leaks on services and mains, gate valve exercising, hydrant repairs and flushing, installing new services.
Sewer Collection and Storm System Repair and Maintenance:  repair leaks on services and mains, camera services and mains, flushing mains, catch basin repair.
Capital Water and Sewer Systems: installing new sewer and water infrastructure in new subdivision developments.
Ability to competently operate a Hydro Vac Flusher Truck, Sewer Video Surveillance equipment, Loader, Excavator, Skid steer, tandem truck and other heavy equipment.
Assists with other PW department requirements (roadways, snow removal, solid waste / landfill activities)
Periodically assists with operations at the Wastewater Treatment Plant and Water Treatment Plant.
Completes work orders, time sheets and required reports promptly and accurately.
Performs daily equipment checks and minor maintenance as required.
Follows all O.H.S. Regulations, Company Safety Policies and S.O.P.'s.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will hold a Level 3 Certification in Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection with the capabilities to operate heavy equipment.
Must have Grade 12 or GED equivalency.
Must maintain RCMP security clearance
Class 3A Drivers License is preferred.
Firemans Boiler License is preferred.

Compensation: $25.77$38.50 per hour, based on qualifications and relevant experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package and pension plan.
