Job Responsibility:
We are currently seeking an experienced AV Technician to join our Warehouse team. As an AV Shop Technician, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining all audiovisual equipment and systems within our warehouse. This is a crucial role that ensures the smooth operation of our AV systems and equipment, so attention to detail and technical expertise are essential.
In this role, you will work closely with our AV team to set up and maintain audiovisual systems for events, as well as provide technical support and troubleshooting. You will also be responsible for inventory management of AV equipment, ensuring that all equipment is properly stored, maintained, and readily available for use. Additionally, you may be required to assist with the installation and configuration of new AV systems.
This is a position that requires flexibility and attention to detail. The successful candidate must have strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure. A clean and valid class-5 driver's license is also essential for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and test audiovisual equipment for various events and activities.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for audiovisual equipment, including sound, lighting, and video systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on audiovisual equipment.
- Ensure all equipment is properly stored and maintained.
- Conduct inventory checks and manage stock of AV equipment.
- Assist with the installation and configuration of new AV systems.
- Collaborate with the AV team to ensure smooth operation of audiovisual equipment for events.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in the AV field.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2-3 years working as an Audio-Visual Technician
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License
- Fluent in English (verbal and written)
- Highly organized & detail oriented
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ideally proficient with the following software: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, e-mail & calendar)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contractContract length: 12 months
Pay: Up to $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
