Data Governance Analyst Role

Support data governance project initiatives as a Business Systems Analyst. Establish communication links between data owners and compliance teams while managing data classification and retention processes. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to advancing data governance practices by documenting business requirements and coordinating onboarding for stakeholders. Engaging with both compliance and technical teams will be essential to streamline operations and ensure comprehensive governance documentation. Key Responsibilities:
- Define and document business requirements for governance
- Oversee effective domain onboarding processes
- Establish clear data classification, retention, and disposition procedures
- Collaborate using Jira and Confluence for task management
- Communicate effectively across all involved teams
- 5+ years’ experience in BSA, Data Analyst, or Governance roles
- Experience documenting data governance requirements
- Knowledge of frameworks such as DAMA and DCAM
- Familiarity with Microsoft Purview and Azure components
- Strong communication and documentation expertise
