Our client is a well-established national HVAC organization with a dedicated Applied Commercial HVAC business supporting large commercial, institutional, industrial, and multi-residential projects across Canada.

We are conducting a confidential search for a Commercial Account Manager to support growth within the commercial and applied HVAC market. This role will be based out of the Quebec City and will focus on project-based commercial HVAC equipment sales, not residential, parts, supplies, or HVAC/R distribution.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong HVAC sales professional who understands commercial equipment, mechanical contractors, consulting engineers, and the Quebec construction market.

The Opportunity:

The Commercial Account Manager will be responsible for developing and managing customer relationships across the Applied Commercial HVAC market. The role will involve identifying new project opportunities, supporting existing accounts, working with mechanical contractors and consulting engineers, and helping position the company’s commercial HVAC solutions on new construction, retrofit, replacement, and capital equipment projects.

This position is ideal for someone with strong commercial HVAC knowledge, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to manage project opportunities from early-stage discussion through specification, quoting, closing, and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and grow commercial HVAC sales opportunities across the Quebec market.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with mechanical contractors, consulting engineers, building owners, developers, facility managers, and key commercial accounts.
• Identify, track, and pursue new construction, retrofit, replacement, and capital equipment opportunities.
• Support customers with product selection, project strategy, pricing, proposals, and follow-up.
• Work closely with internal sales, technical, estimating, application engineering, and operations teams to support customer requirements.
• Help position applied commercial HVAC equipment on upcoming projects through contractor, consultant, and owner relationships.
• Monitor market activity, competitor movement, upcoming projects, and customer needs.
• Maintain an active pipeline of opportunities and provide accurate forecasting and sales updates.
• Represent the company professionally in the Quebec commercial HVAC market.
• Support sales growth for applied commercial HVAC equipment, including systems such as chillers, air handling units, rooftop units, VRF/VRV, heat pumps, and related commercial HVAC solutions.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in commercial HVAC sales, applied equipment sales, mechanical systems sales, or a closely related technical sales role.
• Strong understanding of project-based HVAC sales, specifications, consulting engineers, mechanical contractors, and commercial construction cycles.
• Experience with applied commercial HVAC equipment such as chillers, air handling units, rooftop units, VRF/VRV systems, heat pumps, or other major mechanical equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge of the Quebec market, ideally with existing relationships in Montreal and surrounding areas.
• Bilingual French and English communication skills are strongly preferred.
• Strong business development skills with the ability to grow accounts and identify new opportunities.
• Comfortable working with contractors, engineers, owners, developers, and internal technical teams.
• Strong follow-up discipline and ability to manage multiple opportunities at once.
• Professional, customer-focused, and technically credible in front of commercial HVAC buyers.
• Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working in a project-driven sales environment.
