Job Responsibility:
Description
- Report to work on time and in full uniform. Cell phone is to be tucked away and non-visible to guests or management. Uniform is pressed and clean.
-F ollows all 5-star grooming standards - facial hair neatly trimmed and groomed or clean shaven daily. If host wants to tie back long hair, it must be into a styled bun or ponytail with an elastic that matches your hair color- your hair must be immaculately styled. If hair is left down, it must be immaculately styled. Make-up is neutral in color palette. Deodorant is worn. We are a scent-free restaurant so cologne or perfume is not permitted so as not to interfere with our guests' dining experience.
- Host will follow our 5 Star Service Standards.
- Greet guests in a genuine and kind manner- walk with them to their assigned table. Pull out chair for ladies and lay napkins on laps. Open menus on table and give a departing greeting.
- Uphold our high sanitation and safety standards.
- Calling to confirm reservations while asking questions that could enhance their dining experience. Making appropriate notes in OpenTable under their reservation.
- Help create and execute the guest concierge program, including calling guests to offer an extended menu (flowers, wine etc) to enhance the guest experience.
- Lead all other hosts to ensure successful service.
- Ensure all guests are warmly greeted on the way out of the restaurant and saying thank you.
- Follow and complete all opening and closing checklists and side duties.
- The Host shall be prepared for intermittent testing on our offerings.
Other supporting functions:
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the hotel.
Perform general cleaning tasks, using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards.
Folding napkins for all meal periods throughout the day to maintain an adequate supply, restocking condiments, etc.
