Shape Canadian business news as the National Bureau Chief for Financial Post, located in Toronto, ON. Collaborate with editorial leaders to enhance national coverage and drive impactful journalism. In this permanent, full-time role, you will oversee regional bureau chiefs and a team of reporters focused on Ontario and Quebec’s economies. Your expertise in business journalism will help identify key stories, prioritize coverage, and maintain high editorial standards. You will work closely with senior editors to ensure the Financial Post remains a leading source for news, analysis, and multimedia content. Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with regional chiefs to compile daily story schedules
Direct reporters on regional economic issues
Set coverage priorities and assign stories
Maintain high editorial accuracy and fairness
Develop new editorial products and multimedia offerings

Requirements:

Minimum five years in daily newsroom environment
Strong understanding of Canadian business and economy
Excellent writing and editing skills under tight deadlines
Proven news judgment in a collaborative setting
Comfort with multimedia content development
